Family Portrait Session at Little Somborne

Worthy Photography Family Portraits

On a slightly grey day, we did a family portrait session at the beautiful little church at Little Somborne in Hampshire.

All Saints Church in Little Somborne is a beautiful yellow coloured flint stone church, over 1,000 years old. The colour of the stone is spectacular, particularly at low light, or when the sun is low in the sky.

This little girl loves nothing more than being outside splashing around in the mud. For this photoshoot, her parents had decided to brave the mud and dress her in a pretty little dress. She looks adorable! We had a great time messing around on the grass in front of the church. Our little model today was all smiles and happiness, and kept her parents on their toes as she raced around.

Her favourite moment of the family portrait session was being swung high up in the air by Mummy and Daddy. I was delighted to capture the sheer delight on her face while she was mid-swing.

I love the cool, wintery feel of these pictures. Despite the fact there were no coats, it was quite chilly. However, I am a fan of taking photos without the direct sunlight as it brings the colours out really well without any glare or over-exposure from the sun.
