I met up with the lovely Spencer Family on a hot, sunny Sunday morning recently. We had decided to meet in the car park at the bottom of St Catherine’s Hill in Winchester, and walk along the footpath and then up the hill. We’d chosen a hot day for this, so it was good exercise getting up to the top! Their two boys were 5 and 2, and had bundles of energy. Walking to the top was no trouble for them. We had a lovely time running about on the side of the hill, searching for the biggest buttercup, hunting for special giant daisies, climbing trees, feeding the cow, jumping on tree trunks and trying out the high swing.
