Emily and Greg, a lovely couple from Easton, Hampshire, chose Worthy Photography for their wedding photography on 18th June 2016. The two of them had chosen to have their wedding ceremony at Upham Church, where they both grew up, followed by a very special ‘wedding in a field’ in Longford Estate, on the site of the old shooting lodge.
Having met up with Emily and Greg on a dark evening before Christmas, where we discussed all elements of their big day, it was very special to see the day finally arrive and it was a glorious, bright, dry day. Amy went to Emily’s house to get some shots of Emily getting ready for her wedding, and revealing her stunning dress (designed by Creatiques) to her friends and family.
James got to go with the boys to the pub for a pint and capture some lovely photographs of the chaps relaxing ahead of the big moment
Emily’s dad is really into his cars, big style. He proudly drove Emily and himself in a gorgeous white jaguar, which he had restored himself. What a way to arrive in style!
At the church, Emily made a lovely entrance and Greg looked simply over the moon to see his bride. She was accompanied by her sweet two flower girls and a page boy down the aisle, as well as her dad.
After the vows had been made, the newly marrieds headed back off down the aisle and outside. There we lined everyone up for an EPIC confetti line. Emily and Greg got completely coated with confetti as their enthusiastic crowd pelted them with confetti!
After a few photos outside the church, everyone headed off down the road to Longford Estate.
At the reception venue, there awaited us a lovely sight. A gorgeously decorated marquee, filled to the brim with extra special details to really make it special. Vintage props (including a gramophone) from Old Crocks Vintage Hire, Marquee hire from Carron Marquees, fantastic catering from Ginger Catering and gorgeous flowers Judith Carrie and bouquets from Catkin & Pussywillow
As the guests arrived, they were greeted with vintage style champagne glasses, stunning canapes, and a view to die for of the Spring Barley fields.
The meal was a tasteful Afternoon Tea, followed by puddings. Then people relaxed a bit and played the various games out in the evening sun, such as a highly competitive game of Jenga and a game of Croquet.
The Speeches followed, with some lovely sentiments expressed and lots of jokes at the Groom’s expense from the Best Man.
The evening entertainment kicked off with Flip Flop Floozies, a 1950s rock and roll band, and Greg & Emily had their first dance before getting everyone else up on the dancefloor and boogying!
All in all, a fantastic day, and I hope you enjoyed these photos of a very happy couple and their lovely day! Congratulations Emily and Greg xxx
