I popped up the road to Sutton Scotney last week for a baby photoshoot to meet Caroline, hubby and baby Owen at their house. Owen was 10 weeks old, and settling in to life very well after an unexpected arrival at 7 weeks early!
Caroline had asked me to come over to take some photographs of Owen at home. She also wanted some pictures for a specific purpose. Her parents were soon to be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary (well done!!) and she wanted to give a gift of a lovely photograph with her sister, neice and Owen all together. Think… daughters and grandchildren all in one picture… framed and presented as a perfect anniversary gift. What grandparent wouldn’t love that?
We enjoyed going around their newly renovated house and using each room for a variety of different locations for our baby photoshoot.
When Caroline’s sister turned up with her three year old daughter, we had a lovely time playing in the garden together and getting some fun pictures.
I really hope these photographs will be cherished for years to come. xxx
“Thank you so much for sending the photos through so promptly – we’re really chuffed with both the ones of our family and the ones with my sister & niece. “
- How would you describe the style of these photos?
Natural; a mixture of documentary and natural portrait
- Which photos are your favourite?
The close ups of Owen sleeping and the ones of the 3 of us on the bed/in the bedroom. I also love the ones of my sister & niece in the garden – great action shot of Sophie jumping too!
- Did you have any concerns about doing a family photoshoot before the event?
How the kids would co-operate!
