We were recently asked to do the photography for the baptism of Baby Evie, in Winchester. This baptism was a very special event for this family, as it was a rare opportunity for the whole family to get together from all sides of the world, and join together to celebrate. The baptism was held at St Peter’s Church in Winchester (the one right opposite the library).
It was a glorious, hot, sunny day for our baptism. Our star of the show, Evie, was super calm throughout the baptism itself and the reception drinks afterwards. The church has a great function room attached to the side of the church which is a recent refurbishment. The room lets in lots of natural light, and there is a delightful small garden with plants and shrubs. We took photos of the family get together before the event, and captured our hosts welcoming their guests. We then went into the church and watched as the priest performed the baptism, and took pictures of the key moments. It was lovely to all gather outside afterwards and enjoy a fine spread of food, and a glass of bubbles.
