Winter Family Photoshoot – Baby Seren

I was booked by Jordanna to meet up with her and her family at Lainston House for a Winter Family Photoshoot after Christmas. Jordanna and her hubby live in Orlando, Florida (although Jordanna is originally from Wales) and they were back at Christmas to introduce their gorgeous 10 week old baby to the family. They survived the flight over admirably, and had enjoyed lovely family time with Jordanna’s parents and grandparents.

Lucky baby Seren was blessed with parents, grandparents and great-grandparents in attendance!

I love nothing more than a multi-generational photoshoot. It feels like such a special photo opportunity. Particularly in families where they don’t always get the chance to be together in one room at the same time.

This makes the photography feel very special and a great honour.

We met at Lainston House and enjoyed a coffee, before I whipped the camera out and started taking a few of the family just enjoying their time together. We posed for a few group photographs by the bar and in front of the gorgeous Christmas Tree.

Baby Seren was very relaxed throughout it all, and was happy to be passed from one doting relative to another.

We then headed outside for a wander around the grounds. It was a frosty cold morning – the best for a Winter Family Photoshoot. For Jordanna and John it was a great contrast to their life in the warmer climes of Florida.

We headed up to the falconry at the request of the family who are keen on birds, and had a look at the birds of prey.

We ended the shoot with me taking a sneaky picture of the family strolling back to the house after saying goodbye to me. My favourite way to end the gallery – a photograph of them as they leave me and head back to their lives and their plans for the day.

Thank you for booking me, and all the best for a safe flight back!

We love winter shoots – read here for why winter photoshoots are a great idea!
